Seit der Firmengründung 1980 im Süden von München begleitet Ortovox ihre innere Stimme und definiert ihre Werte. Seit jeher steht Ortovox für ein ausgefeiltes Schutz- und Komfortsystem am Berg, das von einem verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Mensch und Natur geprägt ist. Als Pionier im Lawinensicherheitsbereich wurde die Entwicklung von Notfallprodukten am Berg maßgeblich mitgestaltet. Innovative Produkte, aber auch gezielte Ausbildungsmaßnahmen tragen täglich dazu bei, den Bergsport ein Stück sicherer zu machen und Menschenleben zu retten. Seit 1988 bereichert Bergsportbekleidung mit Wolle das Sortiment von Ortovox. Dabei haben die Wollexperten ein Tragekomfortsystem von der ersten bis zur dritten Lage entwickelt, das durch die intelligente Kombination des Naturmaterials mit weiteren innovativen Fasern, höchste Funktionalität, Schutz und Komfort am Berg bietet. Nachhaltiges Wirtschaften kennzeichnet jegliches unternehmerische Handeln. Das Engagement für sichere und faire Arbeitsbedingungen zählen genauso dazu, wie der Einsatz für das Wohlergehen der Schafe sowie für die umweltfreundliche Herstellung der Produkte. Ortovox versteht sich als Winter- wie Sommer-Marke. Die Leidenschaft nach unberührtem Schnee auf Skitouren oder Freerides treibt die Marke genauso an, wie gemeinsame Erlebnisse beim Alpinklettern, Bergsteigen, oder auf Hochtour. Dabei charakterisieren Freundschaft und Vertrauen jedes Handeln ‒ im Team, gegenüber Kunden, Partnern und Lieferanten – am Berg sowie im Alltag.
